Shreveport, LOUISIANA

June 5, 2007 - A tenure hearing for Gregory Lee Frazier, Southwood High School girls softball coach, was postponed because witnesses could not attend because of a family illness. It has been rescheduled to June 19.

ARRESTED May 8 His arrest was briefly noted here. He was arrested in May while out on bond on an April arrest. He was suspended March 27. He pleaded not guilty May 8 to five counts of molestation of a juvenile. He is accused of having sexual contact with four students during a 16-year period.

TT - It's very difficult to follow up on cases in Louisiana. Newspapers rarely bother to print anything but the original arrest and that's only because the police send out press releases.

See TT - Link for list of stories that can't be followed up.)

THE THINGS YOU LEARN READING BOARD MINUTES
From Board of Education meeting minutes, June 5, 2006. PDF (page 4)

Superintendent Picard stated that Belgium and France have primarily funded Louisiana’s foreign language program for many years. He stated that the French Immersion program is more effective than the traditional classes and requested that the French Immersion programs be given priority.

Interesting.

July 19 - A search of the archives of the Shreveport Times shows no followup to the story or disposition of his case.
