May 18, 2007 - Three teachers at a Las Vegas high school have been placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of separate sexual misconduct investigations. The school is Foothill High School.

Terri Miller, president of "Stop Educator Sexual Abuse Misconduct and Exploitation", or SESAME, says background checks are not enough and that potential teachers should also have to undergo physcological evaluations and polygraph tests to prevent these types of incidents, saying, "We're mandated by public law to send our children to school and by God our schools had better be mandated to keep them safe."
