Mar 1, 2007 - John Krajewski, 26, a former teaching assistant at Voorheesville Elementary School pleaded not guilty to charges that he raped a ninth grade 14-year-old girl.
Arrested in Jan 2006, was indicted by an Albany County grand jury on three felony counts of second-degree rape and two counts of second-degree criminal sexual act, also a felony, as well as a misdemeanor charge of endangering the welfare of a minor.
Krajewski was fired by the school board after his arrest because he lacked the required certification to be a teaching assistant. The board also stripped him of the coaching job for presenting inaccurate credentials at the time he was hired as a teacher's aide.
