Michael Rossfeld, 45, was arrested and charged with with one count of attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and one count of importuning.
The charges stem from an internet sting operation. He called in sick and drove 80 miles to have sex with what he thought was a 14-year-old girl.
He used a classroom computer. "He sat in the back his Elida High School classroom typing sexually explicit instant messages..". He resigned.
Worrisome: Elida schools say they are looking into an employee assistance program where teachers and staff can admit and receive help for an addiction without repercussions. Does this mean they will not report such addictions to authorities?
SENTENCED May 16, 2007 - Rossfeld was sentenced to five years probation and designated a sexual offender.
The police department is also seeking forfeiture of Rossfeld's truck in Greene County Common Pleas Court.
