Feb 1, 2008 - A Howard University soccer coach standing in front of an entire row of Howard soccer players, including his own son standing behind him, was denied bond in a sex sting case.
Joseph Okoh, 40, was arrested after online chats that included "How old are you?’ and ‘Are you in the 8th grade?’
Prosecutors say Okoh also asked if the girl had seen a
man naked or she had ever performed a specific sex act. Okoh, they say, then offered to get a hotel room before picking the 13-year-old up. He traveled 90 miles to be arrested.
This is his first year at Howard University.
Okoh is a 7th and 8th grade math teacher at Meridian Charter School, according to ABC7/NewsChannel8. (No other story claims this.)
