Oct 12, 2007 - A teacher's aide at Jefferson Elementary School was allowed to resign after stapling a Post-It note to a 9 year-old's forehead.

The student went to the nurse complaining that her head hurt. The girl stuck a Post-it note to her forehead and, when she was ordered to remove it and did not, the aide stapled it to her head.

The mother said she learned the incident took place around 11:30 a.m. Monday. The school called her three hours later, shortly before her daughter got on the school bus to return home. When she asked school officials why she wasn’t notified sooner, she said, she was told that school officials were speaking with the teacher’s aide concerning the matter before calling her.
