East Greenwich, RHODE ISLAND

September 7, 2007 - A Rhode Island judge has ruled a strike by East Greenwich teachers is illegal and has ordered them back to work.

Teachers do not have a right to strike in Rhode Island, a fact confirmed by the state Supreme Court that ruled that work stoppages are illegal.
