Sept 14, 2007 - Donald Turner, 38, a third-grade teacher, has been arrested and charged with one count of criminal sexual assault of a a 14-year-old eighth-grade student at Alex Haley Elementary school. [Adademy]
On Dec. 24, 2005, Turner allegedly drove to the girl's home, brought her strawberries and whipped cream, and performed oral sex on the victim, according to court records. Two witnesses saw them and on Dec. 26-27, he allegedly had intercourse with her three times -- once at a motel at West 100th and South Halsted streets, and twice at Turner’s house in the 600 block of West 111th St., Simonton said, citing court records.Turner was arrested Sept 12. After these incidents, the victim’s mother overheard the victim on the phone with Turner, talking about having sex. She immediately contacted the school, court records show.
His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct 3.
INDICTED Oct 4 - Turner was indicted on one count of criminal sexual assault. He will be arraigned Oct 10.
