Sentenced to three years' probation for selling drugs.

August 17, 2007 - Ronal F. Austin, 66, a substitute teacher in the Palmerton Area School District has been charged with illegally selling prescription drugs.

He twice sold drugs to undercover agents and is charged with four counts of delivery of a controlled substance.

GUILTY PLEA Nov 15 - Austin agreed to plead guilty to illegally selling prescription pills. He could have faced up to 15 years in prison. But as part of the agreement, he'll likely receive probation. He will formally enter his plea Dec 13.

SENTENCED Dec 13 - Austin was sentenced to three years' probation.
