Michael Tamayo, 29, a history teacher at Rickards High School, was arrested and is facing charges of custodial sexual battery for a sexual relationship
with a 16-year-old female student.

NO CONTEST PLEA July 3, 2008 - Tamayo pleaded no contest to a lesser charge of sexual battery, a second-degree felony. He will spend four years in prison and another six years on sex offender probation. His sentencing hearing is set for July 16th.
