Substitutes are strangers to the administration, strangers to other teachers, and strangers to the students.
And, increasingly, they are a source of major problems.
May 2, 2007 - Richard Schefske, 54, a Penn-Harris-Madison School Corp. substitute teacher, was arrested at Penn High School on a warrant for felony theft.
The incident was unrelated to his work as a teacher. But no details are available.
