Seminole, FLORIDA

Apr 9, 2007 - Osceola Fundamental High School Gerald Stadler, 51, was arrested after a month-long investigation.

Stadler was arrested on for attempting to illegally obtain a duplicate prescription for a controlled substance. Narcotics detectives say Stadler had obtained prescriptions for Adderall from at least two different doctors.

Stadler allegedly told a school resource deputy in March that his prescription for the pills had been lost or stolen, but when a doctor's office tried to verify those claims with the sheriff's office, investigators noted some discrepancies.

Stadler faces one count each of doctor shopping and trafficking in a controlled substance. He may faces charges of filing a false police report based on the incident that sparked the entire investigation.
