Jonathan Poyner, 21, a volunteer coach at Rio Hondo Preparatory School in Arcadia, pleaded guilty to molesting 10 boys.
Poyner pleaded guilty to eight counts of lewd acts on a child under 14, one count of attempted lewd act upon a child under 14 and one count of forcible lewd act upon a child under 14. The plea agreement will result in 17 years in prison.
Poyner was arrested by the L.A. County Sheriff's Department in December 2005 on suspicion of molesting nine seventh- and eighth-graders in their homes, on school trips and at sporting events, police said. A 10th boy later came forward, Adomian. Poyner is a former Rio Hondo student, was a college student who worked in the lunch program and volunteered part-time at the school as a sports coach, police said.
He is being held on $1 million bail in Men's Central Jail in downtown Los Angeles. Link
He will be sentenced on April 26.

TT - it's a shame that he wasn't required to register as a sex offender for life.
