Hemingway, SOUTH CAROLINA

Feb 9, 2007 - Matthew Stiefel, 25, a Carver's Bay High School teacher, was arrested and charged with with two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Police say two juveniles and two adults, all under 21 years old, came over to Stiefel's house on February 3rd and he let them drink alcohol that they brought with them. WPDE tv: "We're told deputies began investigating Stiefel after another teacher overhead some students talking about the incident. Stiefel is in jail, awaiting a bond hearing."

Update Feb 22 - Stiefel resigned Tuesday. His lawyer says that his resignation is not an admission of guilt. His resignation is effective Feb 28.
