Nov 16, 2006 - From WNBC, New York - Parents and school officials were not notified when James Kazanjian, 51, was arrested on charges of downloading three child pornography videos onto his home computer. The Federal judge decided not to notify the school of the arrest. Nor did Kazanjian.
Sources said that since his arrest, he has continued to teach at McCarrick High School and be around the teenagers there. [Not according to this story.]
He taught at McCarrick High School in South Amboy.
At a hearing in federal court last week in Newark, [U.S. Magistrate Judge Ronald Hedges ] first ordered the school be informed of Kazanjian's arrest, but then changed his mind. In weighing the consequences of having the pornography, the judge said "but the problem often is that possession of this sometimes seems to lead to other things." However, he opted for secrecy, saying, "this is not the mark of Cain that someone carries forever to everything."From Home News Tribune: Hedges continued:

Kazanjian is the second teacher from McCarrick who was arrested on sex charges.
