Steve White was placed on leave from West Limestone High School after a parent complained he was showing negative videos related to President Bush in his classroom. Originally handled by the administration, the situation soon escalated.Eventually he was fired . But not before he ran for state legislator. (Editorial against.) He withdrew in August shortly after his firing was upheld by an arbitrator.
Turns out that video of Bush wasn't the only thing he was showing in the classroom. (See firing upheld link above.)
