Nov 2, 2006 - Kourney Mullen, 22, special education teacher's aide, was arrested for an inappropriate relationship with a 17-year-old special education student.
In Illinois the age of consent is 17. But it does not apply if someone is in a position of authority.
Update Feb 2 - From blogger Interested Participant: Mullen was sentenced to two years probation after pleading guilty. She admitted she took explicit pictures of herself with a cell phone and electronically sent them to the teenager last October.
Mullen also was fined $500 and ordered to undergo a psychological evaluation and complete any recommended treatment.
